Cebu Landmasters eyes expansion in Visayas, Mindanao

CEBU Landmasters Inc. (CLI) has projected an investment amounting to P12 billion to finance its 10 new projects in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Dumaguete this year.

The plan was announced by CLI chairman and chief executive officer Jose Soberano III in a press conference Tuesday, January 31, at the Cebu IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City.

Soberano said the expansion captures the market demand and trend of national developers now looking for more opportunities outside Manila.

This February, CLI will launch in Cebu a New York-inspired condominium called “38 Park Avenue,” which will be situated in a retail plaza and open park at the Cebu Asia Town I.T. Park, Lahug.

The company will also launch in Davao City its MesaTierra Garden Residence, which aims to create green living spaces for families and young professionals.

CLI’s Casa Mira brand, an economic housing community, is also expanding to Dumaguete City and Iloilo, while two Casa Mira Towers will also rise in Bacolod and Guadalupe, Cebu.

For this year’s second quarter, the company will launch its subdivision, Velmiro Heights, in Cagayan de Oro City.

Soberano announced more developments in Cebu, including the opening of MiVesa Garden Residences Phase 3 and Base Line Centre Phase 2 and the launching of mix-use project in A.S. Fortuna in Mandaue City.

"Being from Cebu where we began 12 years ago, gives us a local advantage. Being from South makes us better placed to provide for the lifestyle and housing needs in th Visayas and Mindanao," Soberano said. (Aljun Cainghog, CIT-U intern/SunStar Philippines)
