17-year-old girl, 4 others arrested in Cebu drug bust

AFTER the Philippine National Police suspended its anti-illegal drugs campaign, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas arrested five persons, including a minor, during an operation in a drug den at the back of Barangay Carreta, Cebu City, on Wednesday night, February 1.

Operatives seized 30 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," worth P100,000.

Rolly Ando Frasco, the alleged drug den maintainer, was caught with suspected junkies Romeo Patangan, Locrisio Pepito Talisic, Samia Sepulveda, and a 17-year-old girl.

Acting PDEA-Central Visayas Information Officer Earl Rallos said Carreta barangay officials did not report to them the presence of the drug den or drug problem in the village.

He could not say drug den maintainer Rolly Ando Frasco has protectors from the barangay, but they are still investigating to determine his connections and supplier. (KAL)
