Woman dupes vendors on ‘Pangkabuhayan’ loan

A WOMAN was arrested near the barangay hall of Basak Pardo for illegally collecting money from vendors to dupe them into availing themselves of a Pangkabuhayan loan from President Rodrigo Duterte.

Anna Leih “Insik” Yu, who hails from Barangay Mambaling, was recently released from the Cebu City Jail after her case of theft was dismissed by the court.

Ang nakalisod, mga gagmayng tindero ug tindera ang gipang-ilad (The sad thing is, she victimized small vendors),” Cebu Councilor Dave Tumulak said in a Facebook post.

Tumulak said that Yu allegedly asked for P195 as registration fee from vendors so that they can avail themselves of the P10,000 loan from the Office of the President.

The councilor stated in his post that Yu admitted that she duped the vendors in giving her money.

There were five barangays that Yu often visits regularly to collect the money from her victims.

They were the barangays of Labangon, Punta Prinsesa, Tisa, Mambaling and Basak Pardo.
