'Just chill', son tells Duterte

IT SEEMS President Rodrigo Duterte is not happy with his son Sebastian "Baste" Duterte's priorities.

During his speech on Thursday in Davao City, the older Duterte expressed his concern over his son's lack of time with his children.

"Hindi umuuwi ng bahay. Sige lang doon kay Adarna," says the President pertaining to Cebuana sexy actress Ellen Adarna, the ex-girlfriend of his son.

The President added that he decided to move his grandchild to a house next door to spend more time with him.

The President even described the situation as "tragedy".

"[Tinanong ko], 'Sinong mahal mo? Papa mo at pati Mama mo?' Mama lang. So, see, it's a tragedy. Nagsalita ang bata ng ganun," the Chief Executive said.

Baste is Duterte's youngest son with ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman.

The President and Zimmerman are parents to three kids while the former has another child with common-law wife, Honeylet Avancena.

The younger Duterte, on the other hand, has two kids from two different women.

Before dating Adarna, he was in a relationship with non-showbiz girlfriend Kate Necesario, the mother of one of his children.

'Chill lang Pa'

Meanwhile, Baste addressed his father's concern on social media after the latter's speech hit the news.

He encouraged the President to "chill".

"I really love being his favorite son. Chill lang Pa," the Presidential son wrote.

Baste then confirmed his split from Adarna.

"Bulag na mi December pa. Nakalimot lang ka giingnan taka atong New Year naa ta sa balay ni Mama." (We broke up in December. You just forgot that I informed you during the New Year when we were in Mama's house).

It was in January when news of Baste and Adarna's split circulated on social media.

Adarna, in a press conference early this week, confirmed that they've dated for seven months but decided to break-up late last year.

She also revealed that Baste ended things through text message.

The sexy actress said that even though they decided to part ways, she will remain friends with Baste. But it is unlikely for them to get back together.

"We are really good friends. I consider him as one of my best friends. What's done is done. We still talk, but I don't think na magkakabalikan kami. We have our issues and I'd rather keep it to myself," Adarna ended. (SunStar Philippines)
