Fajardo is new CSF police OIC

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Mayor Edwin Santiago disclosed yesterday that the City of San Fernando has a new officer-in-charge of police in the person of Supt. Jean Fajardo.

Santiago said Fajardo paid a courtesy call at his city hall office on Monday to start working on her post, after Supt. Rechie Duldulao was relieved last week as part of the ongoing regular Philippine National Police (PNP) revamp.

Fajardo is former Lubao chief of police and hit the news then when she and 25 of her men shaved their heads as a show of sympathy to the 44 Special Action Force commandos who perished in the January 25 Mamasapano, Maguindanao encounter.

“Okay ang track record ni Supt. Fajardo and I believe as OIC she could maintain the peace and order situation in the city. May three months pa kasi ang PNP to submit the list of possible chief of police ng San Fernando,” Santiago told Sun.Star Pampanga.

He also credited Duldulao for the decline in the crime rate in the city during her tour of duty. (JTD/Sun.Star Pampanga)
