PB approves P12M for Mexico hospital

MEXICO, Pampanga -- Governor Lilia Pineda announced on Tuesday that the Provincial Board (PB) has granted her request for the provision of P12-million for the construction of an extension building or annex of the Mexico Community Hospital here.

“Inaprubahan ne ning Sangguniang Panlalawigan king pamanimuna ng Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda ing kahilingan ku na aprubahan de in P12 million a pondo para pagawang additional a building ning hospital (the Provincial Board headed by Vice-Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda has approved the P12 million for the additional building of the hospital),” she said.

This came as the governor led the distribution of 8,483 PhilHealth Member Data Record s (MDRs) that will be used by the indigent patients for their Tsekap (Check-Up) and free admission to government hospitals at no cost to the beneficiary.

The governor, together with Third District Board Members Teddy Tumang and Rosve Henson and Mayor Roy Manalastas, explained to the beneficiaries the importance of having a PhilHealth membership.

However, the governor said those who failed to get a NHTS PhilHealth membership have nothing to worry about as the provincial government will provide PhilHealth’s Point of Care (POC) Program intended for those who are non-PhilHealth members.

The governor said the PB approved millions of pesos enough to pay for the POC Philhealth premiums of non-members who will be confined to the 11 provincial and district hospitals.

“Pag beyaran ne pu ning Kapitolyu ing POC Philhealth premium ning pasyente, automatic pu member na ne ning Philhealth or active neng pasibayu ing PhilHealth na kaya agamit na ne murin ning pasyente kalupa ding ordinaryong miembro ning PhilHealth. Ala nya mu naman pung bayaran keng government hospital (When Capitol pays the POC Philhealth premium of the patient, it’s automatic the patient becomes a Philhealth member so the patient can use it like an ordinary Philhealth member),” the governor said.
