NOT THWARTED. Malacañang on Saturday was confident that the ongoing peace negotiation between the government and the communist leaders was not thwarted, despite the revocation of unilateral ceasefire between the two parties.

HOLD. A US judge on Friday imposed a nationwide hold on President Donald Trump's ban on travelers and immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim countries, siding with two states that had challenged the executive order that has launched legal battles across the country.

NO ZIKA. The Department of Health (DOH) disclosed Saturday that the newborn baby girl in Western Visayas found to have microcephaly was not caused by the Zika virus as suspected earlier.
