'Most wanted’ arrested

THE 10th most wanted person of Police Station 2 in Bacolod City was arrested by operatives at Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2 Tuesday night.

Police identified the suspect as Allan Baticados, 53.

Senior Inspector Lanel Lanado said Baticados has an arrest warrant for theft issued by Judge Pepito Gellada of Regional Trial Court Branch 53, in this city.

The suspect is detained at the station’s lock-up cell for failure to post bail of P28,000 for his provisional liberty.

In another development, a murder suspect was also arrested by operatives of Talisay City Police Station at Barangay Zone 12 Tuesday night.

Superitendent Joeresty Coronica said Hernan Alarcon, 29, of Barangay Aquino, Ibajay, Aklan has an arrest warrant for murder with no bail issued by Judge Ronald Exmundo of RTC Branch 4, Kalibo, Aklan.

Meanwhile, a gasoline station lost P40,000 in cash to two unidentified robbers at Barangay 1, Kabankalan City Monday morning.

The Sea Oil gas station was manned by Benjie Verzosa, 33, of Barangay 4, Kabankalan.

Police Officer 2 Ramonito Regalia said at about 12:40 a.m., two unidentified men on board on motorcycle stopped for gas worth P200.

The driver’s companion tried to urinate beside the gasoline station’s wall. When Verzosa tried to stop him, the suspect pointed at him a firearm and declared hold-up.
