#SHORTS: Duterte scraps peace talks with Reds; 32 cases of illegal logging recorded in Davao; Cop's sister-in-law, 3 others nabbed in Friday buy-bust

NO MORE. There will be no more peace negotiation with the communists, President Rodrigo Duterte said on Saturday.

RECORDS. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-Davao recorded a total of 32 cases of illegally transported forest products with a total volume of 666.43 cubic meters (cu.m.) last year, down by nine cases compared to the preceding year.

ARREST. The brother of an active policeman in the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) was raided by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 but managed to escape. Agents instead caught Christopher's wife Luz, 40, and three others identified as Rey Noval, John Rey Suello and Pepito Joson. The four suspects didn't resist arrest.
