IT'S never too late for this Christmas article, which features the bigger and grander Christmas Village of Hope in SM City Cebu as well as the SM Seaside City Cebu Christmas Tree Lighting!
For the Christmas Village of Hope held at the Northwing Atrium, it was beautifully unveiled by Hans Sy (chairman of the executive committee of SM Prime Holdings Inc.), Marissa Fernan (vice president of SM Prime Holdings Inc.), Clayton and Joji Tugonon (owner and collectors of the Christmas Village) together with Arnel Jose Banas (Kythe Foundation president). Featuring nearly 700 miniature and intricate pieces, this makes it one of the biggest Christmas villages in the country!
“I am very happy that once again, SM and the Tugonon couple chose Kythe Foundation to be the beneficiary of the Christmas Village of Hope. This is my last term as president of Kythe Foundation and I hope next year you will still continue this project, because funds raised will go a long way to help the children with cancer,” shares Banas.
Since the very first launch of the Christmas Village of Hope, Clayton and Joji Tugonon have been happily collecting these miniature houses for the longest time and intend to keep doing so in the years to come.
For SM Seaside City Cebu, we were welcomed to celebrate a “white” Christmas, for its magnificent 60-foot tree was decorated with giant balls in chrome, cobalt blue and gold fitted with a four-foot star topper, which made it just as grand! Exquisite elements such as horses, reindeer and rabbits in a pearl white finish as well as sparkling Christmas balls and snowflake lanterns enclosed in a carousel made such a three-storey wonder!
True to the SM brand of celebrating the Christmas season, there you have these events to remember from the holiday season! Until next time.
