A TOP official of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the agency is targeting to neutralize at least 50 high-value target (HVT) drug personalities in the Zamboanga Peninsula (Western Mindanao).
PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio said the HVT drug personalities included politicians, businessmen, law enforcers, government employees, drug syndicate members and foreigners.
Aspacio said they are involved in the smuggling, distribution, and cultivation of illegal drugs in the region.
He said they will work in coordination with the other law enforcement and military units to neutralize the identified HVT drug personalities.
He said, meanwhile, they will also focus on the reduction of the demand and supply of illegal drugs and will strengthen the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council. ( Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
