KALIBO, Aklan -- The Aklan State University has been listed among the top 10 universities in Western Visayas, according to its President Danilo Abayon.
Abayon said Monday, February 6, that the list was made by world universities search engine "uniRank." They are formerly known as the four International Colleges and Universities (4ICU).
The top five are:
1. Central Philippine University
2. University of the Philippines-Visayas
3. John B. Lacson Maritime University
4. University of St. La Salle in Bacolod
5. West Visayas State University
Other universities in the top 10 are the University of San Agustin, Iloilo Science and Technology University, University of Iloilo Phinma, and St. Paul University-Iloilo.
The ranking, according to uniRank, was based on an algorithm, including five unbiased and independent web matrix, extracted from four different web intelligence sources.
They were Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, Similar Web Global Rank, Majestic Referring Domains and the Majestic Trust Flow. (PNA)
