FROM its small start with four teams two years ago, the Hinapakay sa Talamban Fiesta Softball Tournament has doubled the number of teams for this year.
The grassroots softball league opens on Feb. 26 at the Talamban Elementary School open grounds.
“The number has grown since we started. There are old players, but we had who returned to the game and we got a lot of newbie players as well,” said organizer Arnel Englis.
Alintone Adolfo of Rebels Baseball Club said that most of the players have gotten serious and some have invested in equipment.
