Anti-terror videos in cinemas proposed

DAVAO City Councilor Nilo Abellera Jr. proposed that anti-terrorism video clips produced by Task Force Davao (TFD) be shown in cinemas, cable television, and LED billboards in the city, in a resolution he submitted before the 18th City Council last Tuesday, February 7.

Abellera, Committee on Peace and Public Safety Chair, said that the TFD, with its motto “Security is Everybody’s concern,” initiated the creation of videos as part of raising the level of awareness and vigilance of the public on terrorism.

The less than two-minute video was also shown before the council.

The video includes information on “what to do when there are suspicious-looking items” and emergency numbers of available responders in Davao City.
