Finding love in Singapore

PATRICK Saril was a very busy man working as a project coordinator for a company in Singapore. Jucel Tiongco was a nurse at the Tan Tok Sen Hospital in the Lion City. With careers in the forefront of their agenda, their first meeting was at a Christmas party but that was just that –

an introduction. It was not until their third meeting and at the most unlikely place to find love, the first birthday party of Patrick’s nephew, Kaleb, that the Cupid matched their hearts.

From then on, romance blossomed in the City of Lion. What touched Jucel was Patrick’s persistence and his deep love for his family. In a place away from home where one has the liberty to live freely, Patrick remained a God-fearing person.

Jucel’s caring and loving nature endeared her to Patrick. Jucel, an easy person to get along with, is not shy to show her real self even in their first few days together, says Patrick.

Patrick and Jucel found love in Singapore, but there is no place like home to share the blessings and the bliss of getting married. So, the couple headed home and had their wedding ceremony in Sagay City, Jucel’s hometown.

Bishop Emeritus Vicente Navarra (a relative of the Saril family), with parish priest Fr. Aurelius Pepino, officiated the wedding rites at St. James the Greater Parish.

Congratulations and best wishes Patrick and Jucel!
