CITY OF SAN FERNANDO--The friends of a 17-year-old student who was found dead in an apartment here took to social media to call for justice for the death of their friend, dismissing the autopsy report done by police operatives.
It could be remembered that the body of the victim, John Nelson “Puti” Yumul, was found inside his dormitory in Barangay Sindalan in this capital city on January 22.
The autopsy result conducted by the Scene of the Crime Operatives stated that the Grade 7 student committed suicide by hanging himself.
However, the victim's family expressed disbelief over the authorities’ report, as they said he cannot commit suicide. The victim's sister Lira insisted that his younger brother was murdered as he cannot kill himself.
Friends of the dead student are also of the same opinion. Dozens of Facebook friends of Yumul posted on his social media wall asking for swift justice.
One Len Buluran said that she expressed her grief over the death of her friend calling authorities to look further into the case. At least 75 people have also shared photos of Yumul on Facebook calling for justice on his untimely death.
