KENT JUNGGOY scattered 21 points and Allen Ceballos lorded the boards by grabbing 15 rebounds and having nine dimes to lead Vice Mayor Labella squad to a masterful 74-48 bashing over the Team Focus in the Urban Basketball League (UBL) Aspa Cup 2017 held last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

The victory improved VM Labella’s record to 2-1 will Focus is still winless after two games.

In the other match, Stay Fit suppressed the all-around game of Teletech Titans’ Perry Niones following a 58-45 decision.

Ivan Espina had 12 points and Junie Alejandro has 12 rebounds as Stay Fit stay unbeaten after three games while Niones who had an all-around and team high 16 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block went to the drain as Teletech suffered its third straight loss in as many games.

The Department of Public Work and Highways meanwhile survived a tough game before pulling a thrilling 69-67 win over MDC Solinea with Rhendy Alferez wrecking havoc with the game high 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winner’s second win in as many games.

While the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center squad improved to 2-2 following a 76-67 win over Colt 45.

Giovanni Canseko lead VSMMC scorers with 18 points on top of five assists and three steals with Vernon Santos topping the rebounders with 12 boards while Colt 45 saw the 29 points production of James Bataluna and the 15 rebounds of Rene Moore went for naught.
