PLARIDEL, Bulacan - Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) arrested a notorious drug peddler in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lumang Bayan, Plaridel, Bulacan on Tuesday.
In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Isidro Lapeña, Director Juvenal Blanquera Azurin identified the suspect as Eduardo C. Gregorio Jr. alias ASTIG, 30, male and a resident of the said barangay.
Azurin said that the suspect was arrested through a confidential informant who reported Greogorio’s drug activity in Plaridel and nearby towns in Bulacan and Pampanga.
“PDEA agents thru the confidential informant was able to make a drug deal with Gregorio for the purchase of 50 grams of shabu for P136,000 and agreed to meet in Barangay Lumang Bayan where he was arrested,” Azurin said.
The anti-drug operation yielded 50 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be a shabu with an estimated street value of P240,000 and the marked money used in the sting.
The suspect was brought to the PDEA Jail Facility in Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga for further investigation.
A charge for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Act is being readied for filing in court. (Glenn Guillermo/PDEA-3 PIO)
