TOP woodpushers in Bacolod City get to show their talents again during the first leg of the Mayor’s Cup Bacolod Inter-Barangay Chess Team Tournament on February 11 to 12 at the Bacolod Government Center lobby.
The tournament, a 7-round Swiss System, 45 minutes play-to-finish, will have prizes at stake for the winners, with the champion receiving P10,000 cash and a trophy.
Each team will have four players with one alternate player who is a junior player aged 14 below by January 31, 2017. All players must be bonafide residents of Bacolod.
Registration is pegged at P500 per team.
The event, spearheaded by Bacolod City Chess Players Association Inc., is bankrolled by Bacolod City Government. (HGD)
