POLICE are eyeing a prime suspect in the raping a four-month-old girl in Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City, Cebu.
The baby was found bloodied and naked 30 meters from her home by a 60-year-old woman who went outside to pee at 1 a.m. Thursday, February 9.

The suspect is a known junkie in the neighborhood.
Candice Acuña, the Carcar City information officer, said he was one of the six persons, including the baby's father, invited by the police for an inquiry.
Police Officer 3 Camia Codo, the Women and Children's Protection Desk chief, said they cannot make an arrest because there was no eyewitness to the incident.
Police submitted Friday afternoon, February 10, saliva swab specimen for possible match.
Acuña said only saliva swabbing will be done because the semen is no longer present. Most of the suspects are drug surrenderers except for the father.
The baby is recuperating at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
“There were lacerations, blood and grass particles found in the private area but there were no semen recovered,” she said in an official statement. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
