THE Task Force Davao (TFD) will impose stricter security measures at checkpoints set up all over Davao City as the opening of classes in all private schools will start June 8.

TFD operation officer Ernest Carolina vowed to secure the safety of students who are arriving in the city to study.

"We are conducting checkpoints in every entry and exit point of the city," Carolina said.

Passengers of all public utility vans and transit buses entering the city will undergo mandatory inspection, according to Carolina.

"Expect for delays for all passengers especially at checkpoints. Kelangan magbaba ang mga pasahero sa mga sinasakyan nila para macheck talaga ng ating mga personnel," Carolina added.

Checkpoints have been set up in Calinan, Sirawan, Toril, and Bunawan. "We are doing this to avoid entry of people who want to cause havoc in our city." (KRP)
