THE grappler got the better of the striker after Brazilian Alex Silva forced former pro boxer Roy Doliguez to quite in the undercard of ONE Championship - “Throne of Tigers” last Friday night at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 34-year-old Silva utilized his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) prowess and caught Doliguez with an armabar and forced him to tap out in the 2:36 mark of the third round. The 35-year-old Doliguez suffered his third straight loss and dropped to 6-4. Silva won his fourth straight, all against Filipinos, and improved to 5-1.
