Woman arrested for 'setting' house on fire in Consolacion, Cebu

A 30-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested for allegedly setting her house on fire in Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion, northern Cebu, Monday, February 13.

Senior Fire Officer 1 Tyrone Gocela, fire investigator, identified the suspect as Noraiza Alonzo, who is now detained at Consolacion Police Station.

Gocela said there were neighbors who saw the suspect lit the two-storey house past 7 a.m.

The blaze also damaged the house of the suspect's neighbor, Carmen Gerolaga.

Gocela said they immediately put out the fire, after receiving the alarm. He pegged the worth of damage to properties at P40,000. (KAL)
