A MAN was mauled and stabbed to death by five unidentified men at Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation (Bredco) port in Barangay 10, Bacolod City Saturday.
Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias Jr., head of Police Station 2, identified the fatality as Joemarie Garcia, 42, of Purok Jalandon, Barangay 2.
Investigation showed that Garcia was with his girlfriend at the Bredco port around 1:30 a.m. when five men approached them and hit Garcia on the head. He was then stabbed three times.
The couple was not even robbed when the suspects attacked them, Villarias said.
Garcia succumbed to head injuries and was brought to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
