THE Baguio City Sports Promotion and Development Council hopes to brainstorm with different sports organizations during a summit it has proposed.

City sports coordinator Gaudencio Gonzales told Sun.Star Baguio the Sports and Recreations Division of the City Administrator's Office will recommend separate meetings with different sports disciplines.

"So far this is just a proposal but I strongly suggest the other members of the CSPDC will accept it for a more organized meeting," Gonzales said.

"For example there will be a meeting and consultation with ballgames only, iba rin sa combative sports, sa team sports and so on," Gonzales said.

He added this will help the council come up with solutions to specific problems.

"Some of the programs kasi cannot be applied to all sports. ang gusto natin iwasan dito is to mag-sabay sabay ulit ang lahat to talk until there is no resolution made to answer their queries and suggestion," Gonzales said.

"We do not like the same thing that happened before na lahat nag-kakaroon ng sariling idea and it will just ruin the purpose of the sports summit," he added.

Gonzales said the CSPDC plans to meet on June 18.

The CSPDC has 23 representatives from the city's public and private offices and community organizations and is headed by the city mayor.

Gonzales said the council will present a unified sports code for the city at the end of the summit. (Mark Victor Pasagoy)
