MICHAEL Carlo del Prado of De La Salle University Archers will beef up the 2016-2017 Smart Blue Knights Track League Season 3-PSC Weekly Relays Finals slated on February 25 at the Fr. Martinez Sports Complex track oval in Matina, Davao City.
Track league director and Ateneo de Davao University athletics coach Airnel Abarra, in a Facebook chat with SunStar Davao, said Prado will compete in 200-meter dash and 400 meter.
“It would be a challenge for the athletes na makalaro ang isang University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) player,” Abarra said.
He added Palarong Pambansa 2016 gold medalist Mae Gey Niñura will compete again in the trackfest dominated by the Kidapawan City National High School in the previous leg.
Abarra also said regulars Sto. Tomas National High School, Doña Carmen Denia National High School, Crossing Bayabas National High School, Hagonoy National High School, Anthony and Mark Cavanis Elementary School, Calinan National High School, University of Mindanao, Rizal Memorial Colleges, St. Alexius College, St. Paul College of Davao, Maguindanao and Basilan are returning to also vie for honors in the meet.
Categories entered are men's and women's seniors (17 and above), boys and girls youth (13 to 16), boys and girls kids (11 to 12).
