THE Cebu Province Sports Commission is launching its monthly chess tournament on Feb. 25 at the Robinsons Galleria-Cebu.
The event is the CPSC’s continuing program for grassroots chess for players 15-years-old-and-under category.
Modest cash prizes will be awarded to the champions and up to the 10th finishers.
The winner will pocket P1,500, P1,000 to the second placer, P500 for the third placer, P300 to the fourth placer and P200 each for the fifth to the 10th finishers.
The tournament is open to chess players from Cebu Province including Mandaue City.
Registration fee is free.
