Around the world with ‘La Tango’

IF you’re looking for a restaurant that will take you around the world, look no further than in “La Tango,” a pizza place in Cogon area (near the German Doctors) that mixes food with music and has eccentric tastes from all around the world.

With branches both in the Middle East and in Cagayan de Oro, you will definitely taste something new and exciting in this place.

They are the first pizza place in the city to offer Halal foods. Part-owner Marcos Mamay said that their main goal in opening up this branch is provide quality products and services to both Muslims and Christians, and to get rid of the deprivation of certain foods for our Muslim brothers and sisters. According to the developer and owner Soheil Dandan, they slaughter their own beef, giving assurance that their food is 100 percent Halal.

Their food is made entirely from scratch, with staff trained by Soheil himself to ensure quality control to all the branches. A choice of either Italian or Filipino sauce can be decided on your pizza, with the former being salty and peppery and the latter being sweet.

For the toppings, you can choose to have it either Middle Eastern, Mexican or Italian.

La Tango also offers the original tastes of their Kebab and Shawarma rice.

It also has unique pizza recipes that are very rare to find in the country like the Go Mango, the average Hawaiian pizza added with a mango twist, and Tropicana, a fruit cocktail pizza. Its bestsellers include the VIP Tango, Special Tango and Super Supreme, and recently, the Shawarzza, a combination of pizza and shawarma, has been picking up! (Patricia Ysabel Tabian, AdMU intern)
