THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is all set to crack down on all forms of illegal gambling following the Philippine National Police chief's order for an all-out war.

This means they will not just focus on the popular Last Two, said DCPO spokesperson Senior Inspector Catherine dela Rey in an interview with SunStar Davao.

"Kasali na ang (included are) mahjjong, hantak, baraha, sabong-sabong, pronton and video karera," she said.

Dela Rey is confident that the authorities will see a decrease in the number of people who are involved in illegal gambling.

The police are also keeping an eye on Last Two ushers and financers as a new modus surfaces.

Dela Rey said the perpetrators are now communicating via text message, which doubles their work.

Some are also doing transactions through Remittance Centers, she added.

Philippine National Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa has ordered a directive to crack down on the financiers and get rid of all operations.
