2 fishermen reported missing in Sipalay City

TWO fishermen were reported missing at sea in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.

Lieutenant Senior Grade Jimmy Vingno, chief of Philippine Coast Guard- Bacolod, identified the fishermen as Jezrel Valencia, 32 and Dolatoy Sumde, 27, both residents of Barangay 1.

Investigation showed that both fishermen were bound to Cagayancillo, Palawan for a fishing venture last February 8.

They were expected to return on February 12, but they failed to come back as of press time, Vingno said.

He added that they already coordinated with the Coast Guard in Palawan for possible search and rescue operations. (GYM)
