Local arts group to stage exhibit in VOCAS

ELEVEN Baguio-based talents are poised to bare their thoughts out on a visual challenge to fathom one of life’s toughest existentialist questions.

Dubbed “Symmetry of Life,” the exhibit opens February 18, at 6:00 p.m. at Victor Oteyza Community Art Space (VOCAS Gallery). The art exhibition is expected to display beyond styles the artists’ own personal convictions and aesthetic philosophies.

The exhibition aims to incorporate science and art to deliver an intensive description of the origin of existence as we know it. The artists will attempt to simplify the complexities of scientific ideas through artistic interpretation.

With varied disciplines and styles of rendering, the artists have the freedom to express thoughts regarding the theme symmetry of life. It is not about achieving symmetry in perfection, it is about the process of discovering symmetry of life while working our way into perfection, where in reality absolute perfection might be indeed impossible.

Joining this group show are: Jason del Mundo, Kelly Ramos, Goose, Khali Neil Acosta, Mark Anthony Saba, Riza Borce, Silvino Dulnuan, Rafael Castillo, Job Vezh, Carlo Villafuerte and Ged Alangui.

The exhibition is open to the public until March 18. VOCAS Gallery is located on the 5th Floor of L’Azotea Bldg., 108 Session Road, Baguio City. For art collectors, inquiries may be forwarded to Ms. May-Ann Siblagan, telephone numbers: (074) 446-0108/+639399127266; email: vocas.omg108 @gmail.com. (PR)
