‘Double your efforts’ traffic aides told

BACOLOD City Mayor Monico Puentevella told traffic enforcers to double their efforts and perform better in the remaining year of his first term.

The mayor, who met with some 80 casual and job order traffic enforcers at the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) Thursday, aid traffic enforcers should treat motorists well while staying firm in implementing traffic rules, and imposing penalties, if necessary.

Puentevella urged enforcers to deliver their best and work even better, adding that he rates their performance in the first two years of his administration only seven on a scale of 1 to 10.

He also warned erring casual traffic enforcers. The mayor said any BTAO and Traffic Management Unit personnel, or even police officers violating traffic rules should be reported to him.

Meanwhile, Puentevella ordered a stricter implementation of the “no parking policy” along Araneta and Lacson Streets.

The mayor said he has been receiving reports that there are still vehicles parking in the said areas.

Get the plate number and name of the violating party for proper and immediate action, he told the traffic enforcers.(EPN)
