A POLICE official was injured in a vehicular accident in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police said Thursday, February 16.
Zamboanga del Norte Police Director Edwin Wagan identified the injured official as Senior Inspector Sergio Bihag, 53, the police chief of Labason town.
Wagan said the incident took place around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday along the highway in the village of Compra, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.
He said Bihag was injured when the van he was driving overturned after the official lost control of the steering wheel while bound for Liloy town coming from Tampilisan municipality.
He added Bihag was rushed to the Liloy District Hospital for treatment while the vehicle was damaged.
