A MEMBER of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force based in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, was allegedly involved in a commotion with a traffic enforcer in Bacolod City, a report of ABS-CBN Bacolod said.

Based on the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage, the policeman hit Bobby Uberas three times as witnessed by two other traffic enforcers.

However, Uberas's companions failed to defend him when they saw a firearm reportedly tucked in the policeman's waist.

Earlier, traffic enforcer Joel Arsenio was also hurt when a taxi driver reportedly sideswiped him.

Four days ago, Lowel Lumayad was injured when the jeepney hit him at Lopez Jaena Streets. This happened after he asked the driver to surrender his license due to a traffic violation.

Due to the series of incidents involving traffic enforcers, Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, chief of Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, said in a television interview that he is urging those involved to appear and air their sides so they can be given due process.
