A 42-year-old man died while two others were injured after their multicab was hit by a sedan in Barangay Poblacion, Boljoon last Saturday.
Police identified the fatality as Johnny Santillan Calumba, who suffered severe injuries in the head.
He was brought to the Oslob District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Joseph Durens Santiago, 14, and Jian Baflor, 11, suffered wounds in the different parts of their bodies.
Before the incident happened around 5 p.m., Jeffrey Balaba Santiago, 43, was driving his yellow pick-up type multicab on the northbound lane.
Calumba, Santiago and Baflor, who are his passengers, were seated at the back of the vehicle.
A black Toyota Vios, which has no license plate, driven by Ryan Vincent Supilanas Untal, 20, was following the multicab.
When both vehicles reached Poblacion, the Vios hit the multicab’s rear. Untal surrendered to the police after the incident.
He will face a complaint for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and physical injuries.
