San Simon vows additional classrooms for K-12 program

SAN SIMON -- In line with the implementation of the K to 12 program of the Department of Education (DepEd) in the province, the Municipal Government vowed additional classrooms for secondary schools here.

As an answer to the "Forum on K-12 Program: Senior High School Implementation in Pampanga" organized by the Capitol last May 15, the local government here headed by Mayor Leonora Wong assured the administration of five supplementary classrooms in public schools.

The beneficiary schools will be San Pedro National High School, Dela Paz Libutad High School, San Simon High School, Sta. Monica High School, and Concepcion Integrated School.

The announcement coincided with the Orientation on Result-based Performance Management System (RPMS), formerly known as Performance Appraisal System.

RPMS is "one of the 14 interventions that support the realization of the vision and mission of DepEd which goal is to improve the access to quality of basic education that will produce functional literate Filipinos with 21st century skills".

Wong said the municipal government aims "to continually support the young Simonians for a brighter future of the town".
