TEAM Palban, which was champion in the first edition, regained its title after beating Team Felizarta, 74-67, in the recently-concluded Third Pice-Davies Basketball Club (PDBC) tournament at the Almendras Gym Davao City Recreation Center.
Mark Ranara, hailed as the finals most valuable player, scored double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds while teammate Julius Dan Abule chipped 15 to secure the win.
Joseph Dominic Felizarta scored nine points for Team Felizarta.
Team Palban was also composed of Engineers Leonard Palban and Rolando Ebad, Rey Salvaleon, Jobelo Garcia, Rogelio Ranara Jr. Raymond Adolfo, Robin Dumag, Jasanodin Panontongan, Elmer Merquita, Jon Logan and Noe Tolentino.
In another game, Team Malnegro defeated Barcelo Team, 59-52, to place third in the event presented by PDBC in partnership with Davies Paints Philippines Inc. represented by Alvin Alcantara. (ABM with PR)
