A POLICE official in Negros Island Region (NIR) was among the three promoted to the next higher rank in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Thomas Joseph Martir, chief of Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB)-NIR, received a promotion from superintendent to senior superintendent.
The order came from Secretary Ismael Sueno of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte effective February 8.
The oath-taking rites and donning of ranks led by Chief Superintendent Renato Gumban, acting director of Police Regional Office-NIr was held at the PRO-NIR headquarters at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, Tuesday. (GYM)
