THE search for the 2016 Datu Bago Awardees is now open.
Datu Bago Awards is the highest award given a Dabawenyo by Davao City.
The award gives due recognition to outstanding Dabawenyos who lived to serve the city and people of Davao through their various contributions, thereby, helping in the growth and development of the city.
Qualified nominees can be of any nationality, living or deceased, born in the city or have been residents of the city for at least 10 years.
For living nominees, he or she must accept the nomination. Previous nominee may be re-nominated, wherein updates for his or her accomplishments together with copies of previous documents must be submitted. Those re-nominated after three years are required to submit five copies of their previous documents.
Datu Bago awardees are no longer qualified for nomination.
Those who can nominate are individuals or organization residing or operating in the city.
Nomination forms are available and should be submitted to Maria Julieta R. Torres, Datu Bago Awardees Organization executive director, at Museo Dabawayo.
Deadline for submission of nominations is on November 27. (KGL)
