MABALACAT CITY -- The Pampanga Electric Cooperative 2 (Pelco 2) has scheduled a whole day power interruption in this city on February 28.
The power outage, which will affect the whole city, will start at 7:00 a.m., is due to the "correction of misaligned Disconnect Switch tie/middle breaker 52 bay" and other maintenance works by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Aside from this, Pelco 2 has also set the replacement of a feeder meter at the Mabiga Substation, relocation of electric poles in Barangay Santa Maria due to the ongoing road widening, clearing of electricity lines, replacement of rotten posts, replacement of feeder cut-out, and the relocation of feeder isolation in Barangay Bundagul.
The Pelco 2 and Comstech Management said that the power may be reinstated earlier than 5 p.m. upon the completion of the works.
Some parts of Magalang town, including Barangay Santa Lucia and Santa Lucia resettlement will also be affected by the power interruption.
