Bolos, knives seized from frat-member teenagers

ANGELES CITY – Jungle bolos, icepicks and various types of knifes were confiscated from a group of teenagers believed to be members of a clan making troubles at the Bayanihan Park in Barangay Balibago during weekends.

Balibago Chairman Rodelio “Tony” Mamac expressed alarm that the kids, armed with deadly weapons, may harm other people especially other teenagers.

Mamac said he summoned the parents of the children who are residents of Barangay Balibago here and Barangay Lakandula in nearby Mabalacat City.

“We summoned the parents of these minors after confiscating from their possession bladed weapons that may cause death. Reminding them of their role and obligations as responsible parents and possible legal actions against them,” Mamac said.

“We monitor these kids specifically during Fridays and Saturdays along First Street and Astro Park where they usually initiate clan or frat wars,” the village chief added.

Mamac threatened to file charges against the parents of the children who will be caught in possession of deadly weapons again.
