SAN SIMON -- As part of the Alaga Ka (Alamin at Gamitin) Para sa Maayos na Buhay program of PhilHealth, Department of Health (DOH) and the Municipal Health Office, the local government here distributed free PhilHealth member data records (MDRs) recently.
Led by Governor Lilia Pineda, some 4,462 Simonians received their updated MDRs on a separate distribution program held at municipal multi-purpose covered court and San Jose covered court.
The MDR is a form required by medical institutions to be attached to the claim forms. This document contains a member's basic information such and the PhilHealth identification number.
Alaga Ka is an advocacy for PhilHealth members, especially indigents, to learn more of their rights, benefits and privileges and be able to utilize the services being offered to them.
It also aims to educate PhilHealth members on the primary health care benefit and services of PhilHealth and to inform them of their rights and privileges as member and beneficiary of the program.
Present during the distribution were Mayor Leonora Wong, Vice-Mayor Honorato Almario and representatives of Sangguniang Barangay. Board Member Ric Yabut and Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco were also in attendance to support the governor and other officials.
