SKIES cleared during the weekend to give way for the Kapuso stars at the annual Panagbenga Festival in Baguio.

Cast of romantic comedy series "Meant To Be" and primetime teleserye "Destined To Be Yours" held back-to-back shows in City of Pines.

Barbie Forteza travelled up north with her leading men Jak Roberto, Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj and Ken Chan for their Kapuso Fans Day at Sunshine Park on Saturday.

The 19-year-old said it’s nice to be back in Baguio, adding that she's grateful for the warm welcome despite the cold weather.

"Baguio has so much to offer, the flowers, ang gaganda ng tanawin, yung parks. May ibang lugar kasi na napabayaan na, nakakatuwa na dito sa Baguio, ganun parin. Maganda parin ang itsura niya. Nakakatuwa na kahit hindi kami laging nagpupunta dito, yung suporta nila eh hindi nawawala ever since. Nagpapasalat kami kasi solid Kapuso ang Baguio," Forteza said.

Chan and Dorschner added that it's always nice to go back to the province as it's one of the coziest places in the country.

As for Raj, his first visit in Baguio proves to be a memorable one.

"Aside from thanking everyone for the support our show 'Meant To Be' is getting here, it's nice to connect with the fans outside Manila," Raj said.

Forteza added they felt loved by the Baguio locals.

"Kahit saan sulok ng mundo, feeling ko sobrang close ko din sa kanila. Kahit ngayon na lang ulit ako sa Baguio, walang pagbabago."

The group was also photographed on Sunday visiting the popular Session Road. They got to meet their fans up close and personal.

Also on Sunday, popular love team Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards graced the streets of Baguio City.

The two were joined by "Destined To Be Yours" co-stars Koreen Medina and Juancho Trivino when they boarded the Kapuso Float during the much-celebrated Panagbenga Float Parade.

Starting Monday, February 27, Mendoza and Richards will be seen regularly in newest primetime series “Destined To Be Yours” airing on GMA Telebabad. (SunStar Philippines)
