THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas operatives seized 19 medium-sized packs of white crystals believed to be shabu, more than 80 cell phones, cash amounting to P92,000, bladed weapons, laptops, and notebooks containing lists of creditors inside the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) during a greyhound operation early dawn Tuesday, February 28.

Yogi Filemon Ruiz, the PDEA-Central Visayas director, told radio dyHP that they included the cell of suspected drug lord Alvaro "Barok" Alvaro in the search.

Ruiz said they went inside the jail facility in Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City, at 1 a.m.

Personnel from the Cebu Provincial Police Office-Public Safety Company and Central Command assisted them.

Ruiz said they were tapped by the Office of the Governor to search the jail.

"We searched the entire facility," said Ruiz in Cebuano.

CPDRC has more than 3,000 inmates.
