Drug peddlers falls in bust

A MEMBER of a local drug group and a drug surrenderee were arrested in a buy-bust operation by agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera early last night along Camdas Subdivision, Baguio City.

Eden Vincent Duyan Rapanut alias Vince, 40, member of a local drug group and a resident of Camdas Subdivision, Baguio City, was arrested together with Koren Olsim Agusdan alias Batsoy, 39, native of Buguias, Benguet and resident of La Trinidad, Benguet when they sold a heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu to an anti-narcotics agent of Pdea-CAR.

Upon arrest, the suspects yielded the buy-bust money and another sachet containing suspected shabu.

They are now temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility.

Earlier this week, a 45-year old female house help was arrested by anti-narcotics agents in a sting operation recently at Cypress, Irisan, Baguio City.

The suspect sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P1,000 to a PDEA agent.

Suspects will be facing Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act Number 9165 also known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002". (Pdea-CAR)
