Family in NegOr loses P306,000 in jewelry to robbers

AN ESTIMATED P306,000 worth of jewelry were stolen by unidentified men from a house at Barangay Magsaysay in Dauin, Negros Oriental Sunday.

Police records showed that Angelita and Mario Vega and their two daughters left the house last Friday and went to Dumaguete City.

When they returned home around 6 p.m. two days later, they discovered the window at the master’s bedroom already destroyed and several items were missing.

The robbers carted away necklaces worth P100,000; wristwatch worth P17,500; necklace pendants worth P59,750; pairs of earrings worth P65,000; bracelet worth P17,500; and rings worth P46,250.

A follow-up operation is being conducted by the police. (GYM)
