OUR nation’s flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) and its think tanks and bigwigs recently swooped down on our Queen City to announce the new routes from Cebu to other destinations within the archipelago.
Marco Polo Plaza Cebu was the setting for another of PAL’s historic launchings. The domestic route expansion follows: Cebu-Puerto Princesa will be four times a week; Cebu-Gen. Santos, three times a week; Cebu-Surigao, three times a week and Cebu-Coron, daily.
Meantime, PAL started using Clark as an alternative to the hectic Manila airports, not to mention, decongesting traveling traffic. Thus, Cebu-Clark is on sched four times a week and starting March 26, it will be daily.
PAL management further adds that it now has the much-anticipated flights from Clark to the following points: Cebu, Davao, Puerto Princesa and Coron (Busuanga).
A most exciting portion was the raffling of tickets to these destinations. Since the presscon included media people from the Visayas and Mindanao, we met winners from Negros, Davao etc.
More flights, yes, but please be on time!
