Lim's kin want to meet with Pogoy's family

THE family of David Lim Sr. wants to meet with the family of the fish dealer who died in a road mishap on Archbishop Reyes Ave., Cebu City, involving the Cebu-based businessman.

Bebong Lim, David’s wife, said that her family wants to see Philip Pogoy’s family so they could give the financial assistance.

Pogoy died during the accident that happened last Saturday dawn.

In a press conference yesterday, Bebong said that her family have wanted to help Pogoy’s family since last Saturday, after the car crash.

She said that her family would have given the financial, but the lawyer of the victim’s family reportedly recommended to give it in bulk.

She also pointed out that her husband has no plans of running away from his obligation.

Bebong said that she hopes to meet with Pogoy’s wife so they could talk things over, and she would be able to provide assistance for Pogoy’s children.

The businessman’s wife defended her husband, saying that in the 40 years that he has been driving, last Saturday’s accident was his first time.

Meanwhile, SunStar Cebu obtained a video footage showing some traces of oil on the road from the broken oil cooler of David’s car.

The oil cooler was damaged because of the impact of the crash.

The video, which was taken last Monday, indicated that David’s car didn’t encroach on Pogoy’s lane, where he was driving a motorcycle, when the accident happened because the oil spill formed a straight line all throughout the middle of the right lane.
