Capitol, Zonta Club observe Women’s Month

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Pampanga government in partnership with Zonta Club of Pampanga and Department of Tourism – Central Luzon joined forces in the celebration of Women's Month this March.

Zonta Club of Pampanga has partnered with different agencies and organizations to promote and foster women empowerment since its chartering in June of 2012.

This year, the Club presents the “I Juanang Meyabusu” Photo Exhibit depicting the different faces of women abuse. The models in the said photo exhibit are the club members themselves.

It has been the advocacy of Zonta to conduct lectures, forums and educational campaigns in different schools and offices on Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Law.

They have also provided medical missions, stress management seminars and wellness programs to women around the province.

Also, International Women's Day on March 8 is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. (Ma. Reina Len Luna/Pampanga PIO)
