International celebrities invade PH

THE Philippines was a hit among international celebrities over the weekend with at least three of them in the country for various activities.

As earlier reported, Survivor: Vanuatu and Survivor: Micronesia alum Eliza Orlins was in the country since February to explore Palawan and Boracay. She dropped by Cebu after some egging by her Cebuano fans. The 34-year-old public defender flew to Beijing, China last Sunday to continue her sabbatical.

The world’s hottest math teacher was also in the Philippines over the weekend for the Bench Fashion Show. The former teacher and Italian engineer surprised the audience when he walked the runway of the Bench Fashion Week last Saturday.

Bonifacio High Street’s Instagram account also posted a photo of the 28-year-old model with the caption: “Spotted on Bonifacio High Street: the world’s hottest Math teacher, @pietroboselli. (PS: we would have done so much better at Math if we had this view every day).”

Last Sunday, Boselli had a meet and greet with fans in Manila. Yesterday, he flew to Davao for another Bench-sponsored activity.

Boselli announced last month that he has been tapped as the latest face of Bench.

Boselli gained international fame when his photo teaching undergraduate mathematics went viral. By then, he was already modeling part-time while completing his Ph.D.

Meanwhile, Christine Allado was at Manila House for her first concert last Friday.

Allado, while Filipino, is an international theater actress. She will play Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds in the West End production of the Broadway hit Hamilton. She will act alongside Rachelle Ann Go, who bagged the female lead of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton.

Allado also played the lead in the West End staging of In the Heights. Both musicals were created by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
